A restrike proof set of 8 issued under King George V minted at Bombay has fetched a whopping INR 860,000. The set, in superb mint state, consists of a set of Silver Rupee, ½ Rupee, and ¼ Rupee, a set of Copper ¼ Anna, ½ Pice, and 1/12 Anna, and Cupro-Nickel Anna and 2 Annas. The price of this set was estimatedto be between INR 80,000 and INR 90,000 but has fetched ten times the amount, at 100th Todywalla auction in Mumbai.Latest News
